For HOA boards & community managers

Run your community, not a spreadsheet.

Havara turns the group texts, lost PDFs, and missed notices into one private, on-the-record home for your HOA. Announcements residents actually see, documents that answer their own questions, and board tools that leave a trail.

Invite only. Private by design. We do not sell your data.

One library, not a lost driveCC&Rs, bylaws, and minutes, searchable

The reality

You volunteered for the board. You became the unpaid community manager.

Notices get missed. The CC&Rs live in someone's inbox. The same ten questions land in your DMs every week, and enforcement turns into "his word against mine." You do the work twice and still can't prove anyone saw it. Havara pulls it into one place, and puts it on the record.

What your board gets

The whole job. Shown, not told.

Every one of these is live in the app today, wired to a real, secured database. Here is what your board actually works with.

Ask · cited answers

Your CC&Rs answer the questions. You don't have to.

Residents ask in plain English. Havara answers only from your community's governing documents, cited to the exact page, and honestly says when it can't find something. The board stops being the FAQ.

  • Grounded in your documents, never the open internet
  • Every answer cited to the page, with an audit trail
  • Only shows what a member's role is allowed to see
Can I install a 6-foot fence in my backyard?

Rear-yard fences may not exceed six feet and must use board-approved materials. Submit an architectural request before work begins.

Violations & compliance

Same rule, same clock, on the record, for everyone.

Open an enforcement case against the actual rule, attach the photo, and Havara keeps an append-only timeline with a cure deadline. Consistent, defensible, and the same for every home. The record that protects the board.

  • Photo evidence and a running cure-deadline clock
  • Append-only timeline you can't quietly edit
  • Cited residents can appeal in-app

Announcements

Proof they saw it. One notice, every channel, one tap.

Post an official notice once. See exactly who has seen and acknowledged it, and mirror it to email so the residents who never open an app still get it. No more wondering whether the closure went out.

  • Live read & acknowledgement roster
  • One tap mirrors to email
  • Meets your notice obligations, with a receipt

Requests & cases

Every resident ask, tracked and assigned. Nothing lost.

Maintenance issues, complaints, and questions land in one queue instead of scattered across texts and driveway conversations. Set a status, assign it to a board member, and reply in a threaded case.

  • One community-wide queue with photos
  • Assign, status, and thread every case
  • Nothing falls through the cracks

Meetings & minutes

Your official record. Not in someone's inbox.

Post agendas, publish minutes when they're ready, and keep a chronological decision log. Drafts stay board-only until you publish. The record boards are already required to keep, finally in one searchable home.

  • Board-only drafts → member-visible on publish
  • A running log of every decision
  • Survives board turnover automatically

Roles & delegation

Delegate one job, not the whole account.

Hand a trusted neighbor one specific power, like moderating chat or posting announcements, without making them a full admin. Every grant is enforced in the database and lands in the audit log.

  • Ten granular capabilities, granted one at a time
  • Enforced server-side, not just hidden in the UI
  • A "who can do what" map, always current

Community chat

The neighborhood conversation, finally with a moderator.

Real-time channels for the whole community, board announce-only threads, groups, and DMs. Reported messages go to a board queue where you can hide them, kept for appeals, not silently deleted. The Facebook group, without the chaos.

  • Community, board, groups, and DMs in one place
  • A reported-message queue with case notes
  • Hidden, not erased. The original is retained

For boards and managers

A real web console, not the phone stretched wide.

Boards and community managers run the heavy work on a desktop console: the whole roster as a sortable table, documents, moderation, and an audit log, with the keyboard and screen the job actually needs.

How it works

From scattered to on-the-record in a week.

No migration project, no IT department. Most boards are running their first official notice the same day.

1

We stand up your community

Private and invite-only. No public listing, no anonymous door to push on.

2

Upload your documents

Drop in your CC&Rs, bylaws, and minutes. Ask goes live, cited to the page.

3

Invite your residents

By email or text. Notices mirror to email, so the neighbors who never open the app still get the word.

4

Run it on the record

Every notice, decision, and case tracked, with the receipts to prove it.

Pricing

Priced for a volunteer board, not a management company.

Per community, not per door. Your roster can grow without your bill growing, and residents never pay a cent.

Residents always free

The whole community joins at no cost. You're never billed per door, so growing your roster never raises the bill.

One flat plan per community

Everything to run it on the record, for a single predictable price. No per-seat metering and no setup fee.

No lock-in

Cancel anytime and your data exports. A lapsed community is frozen, never deleted, and one tap brings it back.

Let's size it to your community.

Tell us how many homes you have and we'll put together a plan on a 20-minute call.

Straight talk

The questions every board asks first.

Not another app nobody will use.
Every official notice mirrors to email, so residents don't need to install anything to stay informed, and read receipts prove it landed. Residents are always free. It's a gradient, not a cliff.
Is my neighbors' data safe?
Every community is isolated by database-enforced row-level security. A member only ever sees their own community. Invite-only, no public sign-up, and members can export or delete their data anytime. No ads, no tracking, no data sale.
Will the AI get our rules wrong?
Ask reads only your documents, only what a member's role may see, and cites every answer to the page. When it can't find something, it says so and points to the board. It is never presented as legal advice.
What does it cost?
Residents are free, always. Boards pay one flat price per community, not per door, so growing your roster never raises your bill. See how pricing works.
What if we leave?
Your records are yours. Export anytime. If a community ever lapses it's frozen, never deleted. Reads stay open and one tap brings it back. No lock-in, no hostage data.
Our management company handles this.
Havara is built for self-managed boards and boutique communities that don't have a heavyweight portal, and residents who'd actually open one. Many boards run it alongside their manager for the parts residents touch.
" Scattered messages, a lost PDF, a missed notice. Resolved into one calm, official record.
THE HAVARA PRINCIPLE · PROOF, NOT VIBES
Security and trust

Private by design. And honest about it.

You're the steward of your neighbors' data. Havara is built so it stays inside the community, with controls a board can point to.

Isolated per community

Row-level security on every table. A member only ever sees their own community's data, enforced by the database, not the app.

Invite-only access

No public sign-ups. People join only by board invitation or an approved request. There is no anonymous door to push on.

Permission-filtered AI

Ask retrieves under your own login, so it can never surface a board-only document to a resident, even through the assistant.

Your data, your control

No ads, no tracking, and we do not sell your information. Export or permanently delete your data from inside the app.

Straight talk. Havara is not yet SOC 2 certified. It runs on SOC 2-compliant infrastructure, and certification is on the roadmap. We will not claim a badge we have not earned.

Who it is for

Built for the people who run the community.

Boards

Post notices, prove they were seen, manage members, and moderate. All on a real web console.

Community managers

Run multiple communities from one place, with the documents and audit trail to back every decision.

Vendors

Receive quote requests and respond on the platform. No more lost emails and phone tag.

Residents

One private app for announcements, documents, chat, and events, by board invitation.
